Guests often comment as they enter the dining room that they were awakened to a wonderful aroma wafting upstairs through the air of something delicious cooking. Our guests are seated at their own table utilizing social distancing.
There are other options available such as eating in the upstairs lounge or even room service is offered to guests staying in the suites. When warmer weather permits, the guests can also be served on the beautiful open patio or wrap-around covered porch on the front of the house.
Food is usually plated and often served on Fiesta ware dishes. Pat loves all the wonderful colors available, and the factory is only an hour and a half away. If serving a large wedding group, a hearty breakfast is offered that well satisfies even the pickiest of eaters.
Much thought is given to the menu and preparation for the guests that will be partaking including their allergies. When asked, Pat is not sure of a “signature dish” but will admit that the homemade ratatouille is a favorite. She usually alternates a sweet or savory entrée utilizing seasonal fruits, vegetables, meat from our local butchers, fresh eggs locally raised, and breakfast always ends with a homemade dessert
Complementing our breakfast is fresh hot coffee from Hunter Bros. Coffee Company, which is locally roasted or a variety of Twinings teas. Our juice is served in frosty frozen glasses.
Conversation is always welcomed as we learn more about our guests, and they in turn learn more about us and the area where we are located. Not to mention, that Tom always has to share a few of his corny jokes.
