The Estate's Background

Chapel Valley Estate began as a remodeling adventure in 2003. Originally an aged Western Pennsylvania farmhouse on unattended grounds, Chapel Valley Estate experienced a complete renovation to become the welcoming country inn it is today.

From the remodeled farmhouse to the extensive addition, Chapel Valley Estate exists as a marriage of old and new. The natural stonewalls, unearthed during construction, and recycled building materials provide the charm of a New England bed and breakfast. As a conference facility, Chapel Valley Estate delivers professional amenities and technology conveniences to its guests.

Hello, we’re Tom and Pat Bishop, the owners of Chapel Valley Estate. A little about us…

We both grew up in the little town of Volant, which is located in northern Lawrence County. Tom spent six years in the Navy’s nuclear submarine force and has worked as a loss control inspector with the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Co since his departure from the Navy. Pat has been a registered nurse working over 30 years at UPMC Passavant, Allegheny General, and most recently at Cranberry Internal Medicine. Now she would like to take her talents, gifts, and her servant’s heart and serve you!

Even if you can’t stop by in the near future, please stay in touch with us via Facebook…we have over 700 supporters there, thanks to you.
